Deja vu

Exactly a year ago I left my last job. I then had 15 days to pack up and leave. Today, I had finished my dissertation. And now have 15 days to pack up and leave. 

I feel like a groundhog. If only we can choose what we want repeated in our lives.

Loud and clear

We can grow in spirit only if we accept that we are poor and need God. Can't say this was similar to how the priest said it, but this was the gist of the homily. Hit the nail on its head, that's for sure! 

Nanu, nanu

And just like that, Mork was gone. With him went the innocence of my childhood, a bygone past where happiness was simple to get and easy to maintain. We look up to the man who represented the kid in all of us, who wanted just to live a life that is extraordinary. 

It is hard to be an adult during these times. Harder still to be an extraordinary one. But as they say, "Carpe diem."

Now I know why I have never been able to watch this movie a few months back. Because I had to watch it now. 

The close

I knew the reason why it had to happen. A difficult lesson learned in the most humiliating way. Someday, I hope you will forgive me. For I may never be able to forgive myself. 

The seed

My favorite number

I concede that I am an academic failure - from college to my 2 masteral degrees. Why do I persist in studying when it does not love me back? 

My life is a big egg. I wish the hole in the ground would just swallow me up. 

The third spider

It was in the strangest of places that God gave me a sign - Starbucks. Along came a spider weaving a fine thread on my drink. I was infused with happiness. And just now, I got to check in my luggage for free because the plane was full. Danke schon Easyjet for the free hold allowance. 

I will miss this small city. I got to meet new friends. And I somehow now knew what I wanted. The search begins.
