Hunting and Gathering

Everything is interconnected. Nothing happens in a vacuum. You would sometimes wish it was not. CNN's Planet in Peril would hopefully be an eyeopener to those who remain oblivious to the threat of global warming and environmental pollution. But I guess each person has his or her own causes to advance or interests to take care of. It could be a recurring problem or a momentary concern that envelops an individual with misery - whether it be the death of a parent or child, the debilitating illness of a family member, failure in work or studies, heartbreak or the sheer hopelessness of the state of the nation. The last one has been on my radar and it has I supposed affected my sensibilities - from a "Wag the Dog" scenario that destroyed lives to a pardon for someone who was basically unrepentant. Crooks helping fellow crooks get out of prison. What a sad story for my country.
The only bright spot was this movie: Ensemble, c'est tout. Predictable endings never did bother me. Sometimes, you would wish that life would more often imitate cliches. And for the life of me, I simply cannot fathom that Diane Kruger preferred Joshua Jackson over Guillaume Canet!
Being a modern Bushman can be quite tough and exhausting. There seems to be a need for polishing my simple tools. Ah, to walk over that sand dune and reach the oasis I have been dreaming of...
