Delusion

You made your choice

I was never really in the running

The chance vaporized into thin air

Why did I believe

Why did I choose not to read the signs

Why is it so difficult to accept 

When there was nothing between us 

Except that connection which I never got from anyone else

Time passes and wounds heal

Maybe I will understand a decade from now

But right now I refuse to.
