Sad and Happy

Pope Benedict resigned. Why am I saddened by this fact? I feel that the Church has fallen victim to its own fault of not defending itself. We know its traditions have withstood the test of time. It is the faith of its members that solidifies its existence. In these modern times, it is these very faithful who have been tempted to veer away from the basic teachings and live their lives in accordance with a different set of values. Let's just hope the next Pope will be able to stem the exodus. Otherwise, St. Malachy's prophecy about Pope Benedict being the second to the last Pope may reveal itself to be true and shock mankind.

On the bright side, I received word that I am being considered for interview for a scholarship in England! Fingers crossed! By the grace of God, Grace will be able to visit the Queen this year!
