Both the good and the bad

In one day I received both the best and worst news. My cousin in law died this dawn after struggling with brain cancer for 2 1/2 years. It was painful to see his young wife and very young children. Such courage in the face of adversity!

On the good side, I finally got wind that I got the scholarship. One of the interviewers advised me of such, even adding that I was excellent and received four very high marks from him. I was assured that being on the top of the list, I would really get the award.

So there you have it. We should live to the fullest each day because we never know what will happen next.
